A 3-night stay at Anchor Point:
Day 1 Arriving on Island
Suggested activities - Gallery Walk,Dinner in Ganges
Arrive on the island in the early afternoon by vehicle ferry, float plane or boat and stop in for a coffee treat at one of our 3 villages (Fulford, Vesuvius and the main village of Ganges) while admiring the views and doing some “people watching”.
Check in at Anchor Point anytime after 3PM, freshen up and relax or pop into Ganges at your leisure. It’s only a kilometer from our front door to the centre of the village. This would be a good time to stop by the Visitor Information Centre if you have questions that need personal attention. Salt Spring is known for its secrets. But you’ll find islanders are more than willing to share. Check opening hours at the galleries and start your gallery and “small town shops” tour. Plan to spend hours at to the places that peak your interest!
Go into town for a later dinner at any one of the varied restaurants, bistros and fine dining establishments. You’ll note the relaxed dress codes all over town. But for that “special dinner” during your stay, do check with us on reservations and appropriate attire.
Day 2 and Day 3 Touring
Suggested Activities: Studio Tour,Hiking, Kayaking,Boat Charter,Gourmet Safari,
Start the day with a gourmet island breakfast. You’ll be delighted with our variety of offerings. You’ll be eating healthy or organic without even being aware of it!
Get your maps ready because it will be time to start touring. Take your pick. North or South end of the Island. Just be sure to see them both! The Studio Tour covers the whole island and there are more walking trails and water access points than you could possibly visit during a 3-night stay. Ganges, located right in the middle, makes a perfect stop. Have lunch at one of our villages and check out the local paper and bulletin boards to find out “What’s on” and if there are any special events to attend on one of the evenings you are “on island”.
Or maybe you would prefer a guided tour? Please call us toll free to see if space is available on a Gourmet Safari tour while you are here. Space is limited on each outing, but the stops along the way sampling artisnal creations from vinters cheese producers and breadmakers is well worth the extra planning!
One evening on island enjoy some village atmosphere and the other evening you could enjoy the peaceful nature of the island. If you haven’t been to Mount Maxwell, Ruckle Park, Southy Point or Beddis or Churchill beaches during the day; maybe an early evening wander would suit you best.
Day 4- Preparing to leave the Island
Suggested Activities - complete your relaxation list- tour a winery or a garden
If you haven’t had the opportunity to undertake outdoor activities like kayaking, sailing, golf, tennis or trail riding this would be your last chance! Reservations are always recommended a day or so in advance and we can help you with those. Whatever you choose, remember it is your last day on island. Enjoy yourself and “island time” before you head back.

Self Catered Service - December thru March
December thru March we are offering self catered accommodation - providing you with all of the fixings for continental breakfasts in the Terrace Suite fridge.
The base nightly room rate (for 2) thru March is $155 CDN based on a 2 night minimum . Shorter stays, if available, generally start at $175 per night.
Holiday rates December 20 thru January 3 are $165 per night with a two night minimum.
An additional person is $20 per night.
Please note that these preferred rates are available only by phone or e-mail; any online booking through Quokka Systems is $185 at any time.
